A new Director for the Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has emerged.
He is Mallam Kadiri Edah.
The new Director while holding maiden meeting with the staff of the Board in Abuja charged them to be honest and dedicated to work in the course of discharging their duties.
Mallam Kadiri Edah stressed the need for staff to be dedicated to their duty and warned against any act capable of tarnishing the image of the board, the FCT Administration and the country at large.
The Director solicited for the cooperation of all staff and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the hajj operations in line with the desired objectives of the present Administration.
He maintained on the need for staff to abide by rules and regulations of the service, adding that the Administration would not condone any act of corruption and indiscipline.
Mallam Kadiri Edah pledged his commitment to add more value to the management and welfare of pilgrims as well as provide first class services to the FCT contingents by ensuring hitch free Hajj operations.
He assured the staff his readiness to ensure their welfare is taking care of and called on them to show some level of commitment in handling pilgrims’ affairs and protect the image of the board and the FCT administration in general.
The new Director Kadiri Edah took over the mantle of leadership from Mallam Abubakar Adamu Evuti in a brief ceremony last week.
Mallam Kadiri Edah is a season administrator who joined the services of the Federal capital Territory Administration in 1994 and served in various Departments and Agencies which include Education Resources Center (ERC), Legal Services Secretariat, Abuja environmental Protection Board and Department of Human Resources Management where he served as Head of Staff Welfare and Benefit between 2019 and 2023.
He was promoted and deployed to the Secondary Education Board (SEB) as Director of Administration in 2023, the position he held until his recent appointment as Director of FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
He Hail from Kogi state.
