Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahan Abdulrazaq has tasked the Youths to concentrate their skills, abilities and knowledge to promote the economic, trade and commerce towards exploring the Nation’s potentials for growth and development
Abdulrazaq, represented by the state Commissioner for Communications Hon.Bolanle Olukoju during the “2024 Youth Communication Fellowship” organized by the PR Nigeria, a news media outfit last weekend in Ilorin .
The Governor explained that the current challenges facing the country goes beyond appointing blame on individuals, groups or person’s but to collaborate with the relevant stakeholders particularly the youth who are the leaders of tomorrow to fashion out the best solutions.
According to him, the challenges today in Nigeria is that of economic challenges which needs the cooperation of all concerns to get it back on a sound footings”
He remarked that young communicators are in better position to educate the Nigerian populace on the economic potentials that are available in all parts of the country to stimulate it’s growth for sustainable development.
Abdulrazaq said that the present administration in the state placed high premium on the engagement of youths in all spheres of her programme and policies with a view to equip them with the right knowledge to contribute meaningfully for sustainable development of the Nation.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer, PR Nigeria Alhaji Yushau Shuaib said the Fellowship was organized to train 10 youths who have passion for media practices to build an advanced skills to navigate the new trends in news reporting through regorous process
Shuaib added that the Fellowship had trained same number of youths in Abuja, Lagos who met the required standards sets for the Fellowship, pointing out that similar one would be carried out in Kano state for the lucky selected youth for them to contribute their quota for the socioeconomic development.
