A University don , Professor,Moshood Jimba Mahmood has identify Modern Agriculture as bedrocks of Economy and a means of creating jobs for teeming youths in the country.

Chancellor, administration at the Kwara State University, Malete made this known while speaking at the 25th annual Zonal convention of the llorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union , Central Zone last weekend in llorin. with the theme ” Towards Resuscitation of Indigenous Entrepreneurship in llorin Emirate.”
He explained that in an efforts to rejig the indigenous Entrepreneurship, the University don charged the community to create a nexus between the old and the new methods, through the provision of modern tools and equipment of agriculture to r the moribund resuscitate ones.
According to him,”Youths are the bedrocks of development in any society and are the future leaders, IEDPU must work assiduously to harness and harmonize all the potential resources: human and natural to create a better life for the folks.”
Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion and the Dan- Iya Ngeri of llorin , Engineer.Kale Kawu underscores the promotion of skills acquisition, training and the establishment of program to teach traditional crafts to the youths with modern initiatives.
Kawu represented by the Former Chief Press Secretary to Governor AbdulFatai Ahmed charged the union to mobilize resources through public,-public partnerships and community contributions to fund the initiatives.
Also, the Chairman, IEDPU Central Zone, Alhaji Hameed Ajao Amode said the union had an housing estate at pampo village along Eyenkorin -Afon road as a beacon of hope and progress and innovation for a sustainable solution that align with our vision for Economic and social development.
Amode noted that the union had been collaborating with relevant stakeholders towards the realization of their mandate for the benefits of the people.
The Central zone chairman commended the National President of the union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Abdulmalik (Rtd) ( (ACG ) for his visionary leadership and relentless efforts to promote unity, high standard for inclusivity and a sense of belonging within the union.
